Welcome to the official blog of Yogi Films. This space is designed to provide a professional look behind the work — from narrative films to commercial projects — and to share the vision, process, and values that guide every production.

At Yogi Films, my focus is on creating authentic, impactful visual stories. Whether it’s a short film that explores human connection or a commercial that communicates a brand’s identity, each project is approached with precision, creativity, and care.

Here on the blog, you’ll find:

  • Behind-the-scenes insights into the production process.

  • Reflections on craft - from storytelling to cinematography.

  • Industry perspectives relevant to brands, collaborators, and fellow creatives.

This blog is more than updates — it’s an inside look at how meaningful visual stories are built. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to sharing more soon.

Exploring My Work: From Camera Operating to Street Photography

As I begin sharing more here on the Yogi Films blog, I want to highlight a few areas of my work that have shaped me both as a filmmaker and as a storyteller behind the lens. These experiences range from operating the camera on large-scale productions to capturing the small, everyday details of life — and each has reinforced why I fell in love with this craft in the first place.

Camera Operating: Bringing Big Moments to Audiences

Ted: Spokane 2024

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a contract camera operator is helping bring eye-opening events to life. I’ve had the privilege of working on productions such as TEDx Spokane and downlink streams from the NASA International Space Station, where youth audiences were given a glimpse into possibilities far beyond their current horizon.

What stands out to me is the ripple effect — seeing young people light up as they realize that any path is possible if you pursue it with heart and dedication. Operating the camera in these moments feels less like work and more like service: opening a window into something transformative.

Street Photography: Capturing Life as It Happens

While large productions are exciting, my favorite photography work happens on the street. There’s something deeply moving about capturing people in their everyday routines — walking, biking, or simply moving through the city. I’m drawn to those unposed, fleeting moments that often go unnoticed but speak volumes about who we are.

Street photography also opens the door to connection. Offering a portrait to a stranger is a simple act, but it’s powerful — you watch someone’s face light up, and suddenly it’s not just a photograph. It’s a reminder of shared humanity. To me, this work is more than a business; it connects me back to where we all begin: with passion.

Connections on Set

Beyond the images themselves, filmmaking has given me the gift of connection. Some of the most fulfilling moments in my career have come from meeting new people on set. One highlight was the chance to work with Efren Ramirez, whose humility and generosity left a lasting impression on me.

Every collaboration reminds me that filmmaking isn’t just about cameras and edits — it’s about people. Each person brings a story, an energy, and a lesson, and I’m grateful for those connections that shape not just the work, but me as a filmmaker.

This blog is the beginning of a new way to share not just the finished work, but the process and passion behind it. I’m excited to open this window into Yogi Films and to continue building stories that inspire, connect, and last.
